Product & Equipment

Module

Module

The C-BOX consists of individual modules. The major advantage is that the C-BOX can be installed and removed by one person, giving you greater flexibility in using the camping box. For example, you can use only the left module, the "drawer." This leaves space on the right for items such as your bicycle or other belongings.

Material usage

Screen printing plates, also known as multiplex plates

Screen printing plates consist of at least five layers of veneer, which are glued together with the grain twisted against each other. This ensures that they remain dimensionally stable even in humid conditions.
Screen printing plates, also known as multiplex panels, are plywood sheets with at least five layers of veneer of identical thickness. These veneer layers are also referred to as core layers in woodworking. The core layers of screen printing plates typically have a thickness between 0.8 and 2.5 millimeters. To achieve the total thickness of up to 80 millimeters, up to 35 layers of veneer are bonded together. This allows for different appearances on the cut edges of the multiplex panels. Screen printing plates also feature various surface designs and are now mostly made from beech or birch wood.

The production of the screen printing plates

The individual layers of a screen printing plate are glued together. Waterproof adhesives such as melamine resin, resorcinol resin, phenolic resin, or combinations thereof are used for this purpose. Screen printing plates are most commonly made using cross-lamination, which is defined as each layer being rotated 90 degrees relative to the next veneer layer. Cross-lamination is used to increase the dimensional stability of the screen printing plates.

This prevents the absorption of moisture from causing swelling and thus an increase in the size of the individual veneer layers.

This dimensional stability can also be achieved by using different angles during cross-lamination. Furthermore, cross-lamination ensures that the plywood panels are highly tensile-resistant in all directions.
